# Beagle Operators

Beagle is the system in the CMO that takes care of tracking input and output files from pipeline workflows:

Operators are the python adapters that convert sample metadata (usually from our LIMS system) into the inputs for a workflow run. This documentation is meant to be an introduction to creating and working with Beagle Operators.&#x20;
